I am getting ready to finally order a set of jammer 2's and was wondering what to expect. I have a comp already so if I turn it off will I still be able to tow with the stick turbo. I have a full set of guages so I can keep an eye on things. Has anyone ever not been happy when getting bigger injectors? After the fun factor has calmed down, does most everyone see improved fuel mileage? I am only getting about 15.2 mpg now on mixed city/highway and would like to see that improved. What can I expect as far as boost numbers are concerned? I am getting about 30 now on 5x5. I am gonna do the install myself and have read just about every install thread on here so i think i can handle that. Any input is appreciated.

Oh yeah, I am thinking about adjusting the valves while I have the valve cover off, wouldn't they need it at 104,000 miles?

 

You should have an HX35 with the 6spd, so if you turn the box off, you should still be able to control the heat. IMO that's pretty much maxed with the stock turbo, when towing. You might actually find 1x3 on the comp tows better then with the comp off. It adds a little timing, which drops the EGT's a little.

Boost will probably go up about 3-4 psi. Mileage is very hard to figure. Sometimes adding a little more power will allow you to pull a hill in a higher gear, and you get a mileage gain from that. I wouldn't count on a big mileage change though.

I have dd3's wit a comp and when I tow, I run the box on 1x1 which seems to be less fuel then the box being off. No egt issues here at all
