fuel pressure gauge?
fuel pressure gauge?
was wandering what would be the best way to hook up my fuel pressure gauge since i have a fass system. was thinking at the port on the vp, but not sure, any help is appreciated.
thanks

The best place is at the port on the VP. You can get a tapped banjo bolt or go with AN fittings.
Here are the AN part numbers I used from Summit Racing.
RUS-670343, Russell ProClassic Fuel Pressure Take Off Fittings Fitting, Fuel Pressure Take Off, -6 AN Male to -6 AN Female, 1/ 8 in..
This is the fitting into the injection pump(also the fuel canister): RUS-670511 END METRIC ADAPT #6X12MM 1.5.
You then need a hose adapter(For both ends of your flexible hose): SUM-220711 TWIST-TITE -6 END 90 DEGREE.
I used 2556-6 AEROQUIP 3/8” HOSE SOCKETLESS, from my local injection pump shop.
If you want you could go with 8AN fittings they use 1/2" line.

Does you're truck come with a schrader valve at the injection pump? I just removed the valve inside the schrader and used a GIC 4 hydraulic fitting to go to my gauge. I used 1/8in stainless right to my gauge inside the cab. I had the tubing laying around so with the gauge. I'm using an autometer 0 to 40 psi fuel gauge, but as long as its sealed gauge, anything will work. On the older trucks there is a filter inlet/outlet pressure port on the fuel filter assembly. The newer trucks don't have this.
Fass
I may have done things a little bit harder, But, I purchased 6' of stainless steel fuel hose from one of the dieseltruckresource sponsors and attached my fuel pressure gauge to the fuel pressure port on my LP. It works great.
