Fuel plate question
Fuel plate question
Are the fuel plates out of a 215 pump cut different then the fuels plates on a 95 auto? My friend has a 95 auto that he just got and my other buddy has a stock plate out of a 96 5speed, just wondering if we swapped them around if there would be any difference, thanks
160 and 215 plates have different profiles, but you won't hardly tell the difference.
You'd be better off using one of those stock plates and grind a new profile on it. I only go with a #6 type cut for 94/95 auto guys with stock tranny's, because anymore than that and the tranny takes a dump fast. Then when the tranny is built, I go with more cut.

Mike, only spare Ive got is the 100 pictured above. Im on the prowl myself for one cause Ive got a design in mind to help me with the turbo lag problem when I get on it off the line with the auto in the truck now.

Faster ET's on the track mostly. That SBC DD just wasnt easy to shift quickly if ya know what im sayin. I liked rowin the gears but now I just let the trans do the work, I guess im gettin lazy in my old age
right on, thats cool, what did you do with the 5speed and the clutch? Did you sell them? My buddy made a 0 plate and put that in his truck, quite a drastic improvment over his 8 plate. His EGTs rise just as quick as his boost does. I told him he should slide it back some or get a bigger turbo.
