What are you going to put this fuel system in or do with it when you get it?

It is going in a 2001 3500. We put the edge with monitor on it yesterday and the fuel pressure is too low.

Your poll is a little unlcear, this is why I think the "other" catagory is taking over.

The Scotty kit doesn't replace a pump, just lines. Same with the Vulcan, a line and fitting upgrade with a relcation wiring harness and bracket.

My other vote is for a Machanical pump. Either a RASP or similar or a 12v lift pump type setup. To me the electronic is just one more thing to fail for a BS reason. Machanical is simpler, less wires. I know the others (FASS especially) is pretty dang reliable but still. Thats my vote.

Scotty if you want to go a little cheaper (and don't need mega-hp).

Mechanical pump and aftermarket cam if you got the "big dollahs."

I chose "Other"... I vote for the Vulcan kit since it replaces all the banjos and increases the fuel lines from the tank to the vp-44.

If there's ever another time I have to replace a lift pump, it will be with the Walbro and dual ported external regulator. The trucks I've seen using this combination are running rock solid fuel pressures at any throttle setting. The Walbro has proved it reliability in countless other applications, and this truely is an inexpensive setup when compared to a FASS or RASP. It's cheaper than the stock lift pump, and a superior design to any other pump avialable.

Quite frankly, there's too much concern on this web site about fuel pressure on the 24v. The only times to be worried about it are if the pressure is less than 5 which shows there enough fuel being delivered, the pressure guage is bouncing which is a sure indication of eventual seal failure in the VP44, or you're trying to make big power and need lots of pressure.
