Fast Idle

Anyone have a fast idle on their 12v? Ho'd you do it?
I have a pull cable but hate it. One of my friends found a solenoid and a chain and it works good but he can't find anymore of them

how about a cruise control motor from a junkyard and the little chain? use a spring loaded switch(center off) to move the motor each direction?

Use an electic motor connected to a screw drive that acts directly on the throttle linkage, thats how most of your heavy EQ with manual pumps set their throttle.

Or theres always a good adjustable PTO cable with center kickout they run bout 50$

I used a solenoid from an old Rochester Quadra-Jet carb. I made a little bracket that bolts to two timing cover bolts. It won't push the trottle open but will hold it if I rev it up and activate the solenoid. The plunger length is adjustable so I can set the fast idle speed. I'll try to post a pic as soon as I can.
