exhaust housing question
when you have a 14cm or 16 cm, or even a 26 cm housing, where exactly is that measurement taken from? and when you change housing sizes, do you have to change the exhaust turbine to match it?

The size that's quoted is the total cross-sectional area of the two scrolls, measured just before they dump into the face of the turbine wheel. YOu can see just how restrictive and small the stock housings are when you run the numbers. The stock 12CM housing is roughly equivalent to a 3/4" hole
Housings are matched to a turbine wheel size. So if you have a housing for an HX35, it will work on ALL hx35s. (since they all have the same turbine size).

so there is really no way to just measure a turbo and know what size housing is on it, or is there a formula? the scroll is the passage in which the exhaust gasses travel through right?
also, if you have a HT3B with a 22cm housing, and you want to put a 26 on it, all you have to do is change the housing, correct?
