Exhaust housing porting

Here is my question. I have my old 12cm w/g housing laying around and I'm thinking about porting it. I'm thinking about removing some of the flow divider and drill out my waste gate hole and the divider to around 3/4". Any thoughts? Here is my thing, if I mess it up or it cracks I'm not out anything so why not. If I did these things and installed it in place of my 16nwg would my egt's at power be highed or lower? If anyone has done this some more info would be great either pro's or con's.

Thanks,
Adam

I say go for it. EGT shoudlnt change much between the two, but it will spool a lot quicker and sooner and you will be able to adjust your boost.

I just gasket matched my inlet and carved on the outlet a bunch. I drilled the housing divider by sticking a bit through teh WG hole and enlarging the hole in the divider to match the WG hole.

I also enlarged the WG hole itself to where it was as big as I felt I could go and still have the flapper seal it.

Result was no loss in spoolup, but a 75-100 degrees EGT under some conditions.
