Hi all :I'm new to the ctd world and lovin it/ ;D I've read that some use their : ex brake to speed up cold start warm ups .why does this work ?what is a safe time? are there any drawbacks....see sig for truck info thanks ???

Use mine all the time for warm up! ;D The brake will create a small load on the engine to keep combustion temps up (see tsb 18-31-1 cold idleing). I let mine run with the brake on until temp is up to normal range. The only draw back if you want to call it that is, you have to clean your IAT sensor on a regular basis due to the back pressure of the e-brake. Phil

Give me a little more info on this cleaning of the IAT sensor. I've never cleaned mine and use the PacBrake to warm her up all the time.
