Edge owners with gauges

What are your EGT's in the different settings ? I'm not sure if i will put gauges on yet. What do you get in setting 4 on a wot run empty straight hiway? Is there a point where you guys are close to thermo-nuclear meltdown ?

I could get to meltdown stock, wot 2800 rpm pulling my 5er will get me to 1300 degrees on the gauge real quick, need to back off on go peddle. My opinion, EGT gauge should be standard equipment!! :

Re:Edge owners with gauges

You guys are telling me that a bone stock truck pulling a load that it is totally rated for will cause it to run that hot on the EGT's, you would think that a bone stock truck could run all day long in those conditions,I'm very surprised that Cummins did not make the engine more fool proof EG: sled manufacturers commonly jet for worst case scenario eg -20f wot across a lake for 2 miles. Now is there a common place to put your thermocoupler or is it wherever you can get a drill in ? On a 2 stroke your thermocoupler always goes 6 inches away from your piston .
