Edge Juice - Does it really work?
I would like more power when towing my 5th wheel. I'm looking at using the Edge Juice to increase my power. Does it really work or is there others products better? If I do this modification what other changes should I do to my truck. (ie tranny work, gauges) I'm not much of a gear-head, so I can use all the advise I can get.
Thanks

I'm pretty happy with mine, it seems to help, but you can only use it to level 2 for towing, anything else will make high EGT's. The edge had a very simple instal, and it is easy to use. Just my 02. There may be better towing boxes out there, tho.
First thing will be turbo, you can't do much with that HY35 turbo. Read my signature and you will see the set up I'm working on for towing. I got pretty much everything except a couple little things. I'm hoping to have it all put together to see what power she has with the RV275's and Edge EZ.
The Juice with attitude has all the guages you'll need which is why I went with it. If you keep it on the lower levels(2 is designated for towing) you shouldn't need any other upgrades provided you have a good lift pump setup(not the stock one no matter how new the pump is).
Of course this all dependes on how much more you really want!

The lift pump is the pump that pulls the fuel from the tank and pushes it to the injection pump. AKA: supply pump or fuel pump.
On these trucks its electric and prone to failure. The injection pump is lubed and cooled by fuel so if it runs dry then damage occurs and it fails and is about $1000 to fix. The most common scenario is for the lift pump to fail which starves the injection pump causing it to fail.
Do a search on "lift pumps" "VP44 failure" and "tapping the wire". This will educate you so you can make an informed decesion before buying the Edge.
