edge comp works
edge comp works
I got the edge comp a few days ago and thought over the fact of trading in for simplier system like the ez, less wires and more stock configured friendly.
Well I could not just let the box sit around now could I. I did the install in about 1 1/2 hours with taking my time. I was nervous about starting it up the first time, but it worked with no eng lights or problems.
Oh my gosh is there a difference in power. ;D ;D ;D I am thrilled with the number 1 setting, very noticeable difference. My max boost psi went from 18 stock to now 28-30 easy. I let off the trottle before I would get into trouble......I wonder if I dare try settings 3-5.
Another happy Edge owner,
Rich

Try 5x5 once your smile will be huge ;D

Till he looks back and sees his transmission lying in the road,
a smoking twisted pile of molten metal and dark brown fluid.
Hope there are some upgrades in it's future.
I'd stick with 1-3, heavy on the 1 for a while.

Your going to need an aftermarket Valve Body in the least to hold your new found power.
Even just on level 1 your Comp will wear on your tranny at an accelerated rate than when you were stock.

Re:edge comp works
Before even buying the Comp, I put in the pillar guages, air box and 4 in exhaust and just a month ago had the tranny valve body out and built with a shift kit and 11.5 quarts of amsoil ATF+4.
You are right though I am nervous about losing a tranny if not careful....
