Edge Comp Warranty

Does the warranty on a comp transfer if bought used? I am buying a used comp from a member here, and am curious if it will transfer to me. If it doesn't, how much does it cost to get one repaired if it fails? TIA

I dont believe that the warranty is transferable but if the serial number is still attached it may not be an issue.

The warranty period is 2 years from edge

I'm curious as well because I bought a used comp as well and every now and then it will lock up on me and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. I'm hoping when I do the drag upgrade that they will fix that little problem as well.

When I sent my Comp in for the upgrade it had a minor defect. The only thing holding the face plate on was some tape and the wires it was dangling from when it fell off and it had a short in it. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. I didn't say anything to them about these problems and when I got it back from the Drag version update it was all fixed up and looked new. They told me to fix it would be $75.00, really didn't matter what was wrong with it, I guess as long as it was in one piece, I'm sure they have some limitations. So who cares about the warranty at that price. When I did the pressure test on my system I found the brass elbow had gone bad and was just releasing pressure all the time, so they even sent me a new elbow with the Comp. Call me a satisfied customer.

So the warranty doesn't transfer, but the repair price is cheap. I wish the warranty transfered because I would have about a year and a half left. Now I just need to get a clutch, turbo and pusher pump. That should just about take care of my tax return

Edge's paperworks states the warranty is not transferable.
But if you need help and the box is still under warranty they will fix it.

They are a good company to deal with and have very nice products.
