What mods do you have other than the Comp? If you are running stock (especially with no transmission upgrades), as I found out with my automatic, the "dead" spots you describe may be your tranny slipping. What level are you on when you stomp it?

May have a ground problem. Comps are sometimes bad about things as such. Try adding some wire and moving the ground wire to the negative battery terminal. I had trouble with mine and that turned out to be the cure for mine.

The 01's and 02's have torque limiting in 1 and 2nd gear. Once boost hits a certain amount (varies from about 15psi to 24psi), the ECM will cut back fuel. On mine if feels like a surge. I have a BD RAD (racer anti defueler), that eliminates this problem. I have been testing a Redline box, and it also seems to eliminate the problem.

Hope this helps...

Paul

A Smarty on level 4 or higher will also fix this issue. The Rad box is cheaper but the Smarty is more fun. Edge products do nothing to the torque management on these trucks.
