Ya know the lock ring you use the punch on, just sitting here looking at it and wondering how it tightens with no threads, instructions say will tighten in either direction????? Also it looks like if you dont get it really tight the shaft will just turn inside the berring when turning truck instead if the berring turning. Anyone make sense of that???

 

I thought the exact same thing, yet it worked just like they said it would.

Its an eccentric collar. If you look closely at the bearing sleeve the outer surface is machined off center. The ring is also machined off center. When you turn the ring on the bearing sleave the two clamp onto the shaft. Pretty slick.
