Does Edge advance the timing ???

Hey guys I have been reading some conflicting stories about Edge products. I have a 2nd generation cummins (02) and I have the Edge Juice with attitude 125 hp chip and I was wondering if there is a final answer to that question of whether they advance the timing or not. I pull a 36 foot horse trailer and if they do advance the timing , I probably shouldn`t have it turned right up hey?I am a little confused about if advanced timing and pulling is a bad combination. When I pull with it turned up to the 125 setting, my exhaust tempuratures stay under 1000 so am I still in danger of doing damage? 02 1 ton , 4" exhaust , afe intake , 125 hp edge juice with monitor

Yes it advances timing of the injectors, no it won't hurt to pull with advanced timing.

Usually..

There's a buffer of retarded timing in the stock software.

This buffer is used up by the Edge boxes. DO NOT ADD ANY MORE TIMING THAN THIS-- this will put you "over the edge" for towing.

There are a couple cases of melted/destroyed engines from heavy towing with excessively advanced timing.

So enjoy your Edge box and tow happily-- but don't add any additional timing at all.
