anyone know how to bypass this thing without wearing your seatbelt or buying a clip from the bone yard and stuffing it in the connector ??

There is a connector under the seat. I wear my seatbelt, so it doesn't bother me. I am sure all you would need to do is jump off the connector under the seat, should solve your problem.

I just pulled the little blue box that had the 'dinger' in it out of the truck. Located in the kick panel underneath the steering colum.

Check the owner's manual. I think it may be a programmable feature on the newer trucks.

not sure about your model, but on my '01 the dinger/chimer is a small black plastic box under the dash between the gas pedal and the ashtray. Don't take this out as it controls all chimes (seat belt, low fuel, lights on), also controls intermittent wipers, probably other good things. There are a lot of posts about this including mine where I spent $150 when my problem was a 39 cent fuse. To learn more about it search on CTU, intermittent wiper, chimes, etc.

I just wear my seat belt. There was an article in today's paper reporting that 60-70% of traffic deaths involve pickup trucks, men, rural areas, and no seat belt.
