Door dinger and seat belt chime
Door dinger and seat belt chime
I've been out messing around with my truck and disabled the seat belt chime. I unplugged the wire down at the bottom of the latch and just put a female spade connector over the two pins. Don't get me wrong, I advocate seat belt use but when I'm easing through a field in 1st gopher hunting I don't need one. Now I'm trying to stop the door ding when I have the door open with the key in the ignition. I did this on my '00 but this switch is different. Anyone know which wire to unplug or if a guy can even do this on these new ones.
Go to a bone yard and get a seat belt. Cut the belt off,but keep the clip. Put the clip in your seatbelt conection.
It works for me. No more chime or horn honk.
I use it when I am backing up my 5er with the door open.
HOW EVER, NEVER DRIVE ON THE ROAD LIKE THAT!!
