Derale transmission pan
I was wondering what do you guys think about these transmission pans
Here's description
Derale #14210, 518 / 618 / 46RE / 47RE / 48RE / 727 deep Transmission Pan Cooler. This pan has tubular cooling tubes using air flow beneath the vehicle to reduce the transmission fluid temperature from 20° to 50° F. Fluid capacity is increased from 2 1/8 to 5 1/2 quarts. This pan has a drain plug and is 4 1/2 inches deep. The pan gasket is included.
If rock climbing please use 14010 filter extender or if you’re on 75 degree incline for over 15 minutes

I have one but it's still in the box. Can't seem to ever find time to work on much of my junk like I want to. I like the looks of it but the tubes look like they could become plugged if a guy was off road a lot. Seems like you could probably hose them out on occasion to take care of that problem.

It has been a while since I've messed with the stock pan but the Derale is pretty sturdy (MHO) and seems heavier gauge than OEM. It comes drilled/tapped for a temp sender, has a nice magnetic drain plug and what appears a decent gasket but not the really good OEM one. The box says it comes with a rubber/steel gasket but this one did not and looks just like the one you pictured. It also has the dimensions listed on the box. 4 1/2" deep overall and 3 5/8" inside depth to the top of the tubes.
