Derale Deep Tranny Pan

Installed the deep pan today and I must say, I am pleased with the results. The pan holds an additional 5qts so the filter change now costs 9.5 qts of ATF+4. The nice part is the trans temp went from 182F to 165F over the same run at the same speed. Temp is measured via Bully Dog GT. I also did the bands as long as I had the filter out of the way. Both bands were around 2 turns out of adjustment, as measured by counting the number of rotations to 72 in lbs and then backing off the prescribed number of turns. There are 107,600 on the tranny and I don't know if the bands were ever done!

Did you have to mess around to make sure you weren't overfilled or too low on the stick??

In my case i measured what came out when i dropped pan .put new pan on put back the amount that came out plus the extra the new pan holds then checked the dip stick after driving and noted were the oil level was on the dip stick. This should be the correct level

Was there a spacer included to drop the filter down further into the pan?

I had to order the spacer seperate, but the screws were too short so I didn't install the spacer. I may try to find some longer screws and install it next oil change. I really haven't noticed any change in Trans temp, but that may be because my gauge send is in the Hot line anyway.
