I daily drive a 3850 without any complaints. I have a friend with one that is almost always towing something, agian no complaints.
It does take some getting used to. I will admit I hated it and started thinking it may have been a mistake on the first few drives. Shifts were a little difficult and the pedal was stiff, but now it feels great and I struggle driving trucks with single disk clutches.

I don't think my 3850 is bad at all, but I've heard many that think the 3250 is bad. I thought the 3250 was a piece of cake. Everyone has different perceptions.

I have been daily driving the 3850 for almost two years now. It definitely takes some getting used to, and is a little tough on the left knee in stop and go traffic, but I won't complain as it has never slipped and tows beautifully.

It's loud, but not unbearably so. I do have a fluidampr harmonic balancer though and I was told that helps calm things down a bit.

Yes its loud, not too loud but enough that you can hear it over the engine at idle with the windows down.

I've actually been told quite a few times that my throwout bearing is toast by some "helpful" folks

Well, if you are going to sled pull you really, really need a DD clutch. It will be fine pulling a trailer with and daly driving, BUT when I detuned my truck and quit thrashing it. And started working with it in stead of on it. I pulled my 3600 DD out and traded it for a OFE. It's alot better for a daly driving, but if your going to play you will have to go DD. P.S. have another ride to work the day after a pull (just in case).
