What are your plans for power, and what are you going to do with the truck?

pedal pressure with upgraded hydraulics is not an issue. not saying i would enjoy sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for 3 hours with this clutch (stock clutch would do the same thing)...but normal driving its no big deal

choose the clutch for your power and abuse level...you just need to hold 500hp and wanna be able to pull a trailer and daily drive...go lighter. if you are like me and wanna sled pull, drag race, show off and do burnouts etc, get the heavier piece.

also take into account your big 40's will really strain the clutch at times too. a 500hp rated clutch may only be able to hold 400hp with 40" tires

I havent ever been around a dual disc clutch so I got a question
The way my truck sits now I hardly ever you the clutch-except for starting and stopping- but all my upshifts and downshifting I just shift by rpms
can you do this with a dual disc?

Well it will be turning a 40in tire. and how much hp?? Well lets just say i think i'm like most people on here, I don't know when to stop. So i want a clutch that will be way over what i need so when i do go bigger HP than what i am now, i won't have to worry about it. It's going to have ALOT of abuse. When i'ts in the mud, i don't hold nothing back. The clutch i did have in it last maybe 3k, And it was supost to hold 550hp.-Chris

The 3600 sounds fine for you. But if you want the extra insurance get the 3850....but mainly the higher plate loads are so the clutch can lock up/grab after being slipped with a tremendous load or something that simulates a tremendous load (which could mean 40" tires....)

yes but synchronized trannies will hate you for it after about 100k miles or less if you drive them hard.

mine has 80k of hard shifting, clutchless shifts etc and its notchy and hard to get into gear

I think the clutch engagement with my 3600 is stiffer than a freightliner even with the upgraded hydraulics. It doesn't wear my leg out though unless I'm doing a lot of playing. Without the hydraulics I thought I was going to lift up out of the seat the first time I pressed the clutch in
