at idle with clutch out it does nothing but make a loud chattering noise is this normal you can hear it easly over the motor. its also has a slite vibration and chatter in 4th gear from 1300-1800 also in 5th makes the same noise as it doise at idle. dont know if this thing is suposed to do this or not

Yes, it's normal. Caused by the fact that your clutch discs do not have springs in them. Same thing with the trans noise in gear

You can quiet it down a lot by getting a Fluidampr.

 

Dual-discs clatter at idle - comes with the territory. Not supposed to hurt the tranny, but I don't think the G56/SB combo is through beta testing, at least not enough for my satisfaction.

 

Yeah the vibrations are normal...so is the clatter at idle.

As JCleary pointed out the search feature is indeed wonderful.


Why are you worried? The G56 is every bit as tough as the NV5600 it replaced! Right?

 

well like i said about 4th and 5th the clatter and vibration under any load between 1000-1800 rpm or so 5th is wicked bad and for some reason it keeps setting off my abs light and doesnt seem right any ideas
