Only on an ISB (24v). The 12v 94-98.5 5spd has a hard line wastegate. I believe the autos have to be changed by means of a turnbuckle.

1ST GEN, Some elbows are adjustable with an allen set screw. Many other adjustable boost controllers are available. I bought a nice in-line one with a spring, check ball, and bleed orifice on eBay for about $20.00 (buy it now price). After a little tweeking, my max boost is right where I want it. Vin
