Comp and MAP sensor?

I have heard before that the comp does not work properly when the MAP sensor is unplugeed is this true or what?

From: My head lays down in Murrieta, but the day light hours are spent in San Diego, Ca.
with a comp, you can run with the map sensor disconnected. it'll smoke like a freight train.....

I don't think so. Maybe a little bit of bottem end, but I know there is NO data to support that. I think any gains in power are very nominal.

I have had my map unplugged from day one of installing my drag comp so far no ill affects .

I've had mine unplugged for over a year now and no ill effects. You definitely pick up a lot of bottom end power. Oh ya and lots of smoke on demand!
Now as to unplugging it you just unplug the factory plug from the block and leave the comp plugged into the the factory map plug harness not the block.
does that make sense?

Yea i know what you mean. I just went and unplugged it started it up and just hit the throttle a few times and i could tell a difference on smoke. I had it unplugged before i got the injectors but then i decided to plug it back in because i wasnt for sure if it was good or not.

Wel had it unplugger and went and rode around a few guys in town rode with me and they all thought it might have a slight more bottom end power. But it smokes a whole lot more now than before!
