Re:Clutch!!!

I just talked to Peter today,, and too bad I didn't have the money,, I would have bought the DD on the spot.

I didn't talk to him about sled pulling, but have some good news on an update with Peter's Dual Disc from South Bend Clutch. Smooth, light pedal, insane holding power, and a SFI rated Billet disc, unlike the other DD's.

The New Dual disc is 3 pounds lighter than his single disc Con O / OFE / FE clutchs.

Just thought I'd pass that along.

There's more great things about them, but I need to talk to Peter again to make sure all my facts are striaght.

Re:Clutch!!!

How many will need an expensive blanket to pull with their clutch....that whole last group. :-

I've *heard* (keep in mind only hearsay) that some "certain parts" will be banned from use possibly in '04 because of the material they are made of ???

All The Groups Listed Above

Will be REQUIRED to have the safety blanket or a blowproof bell housing.

I can tell the tech guy "Yeah it has a SFI Flywheel" But who is going to verify it?

Is anyone going to pull the tranny to pull... NOPE.

SO the REQUIRED safety system for the future is a SFI bell housing with #s and a certification attached with a date or a Blanket with the same as the safety certification will expire on either when the predetermined age is reached.

So what do you want to trust reputation OR Hope?

I hope this is an eve opener for all as this is what you are looking @.

I hope people get blankets in the least for their safety cause the pulling enviroment is growing and we need to work together to get more recognition in the sport.

p.s. I was dumb and pulled with no safety blanket but not anymore. I came to reason from talking to others and for the fact that My son is going to be in attendance where I pull this year. Now I realize I had my head in my A$$ and to all I am Sorry.

Thank You
Scott
