Clearance for 315's?

I've got an '01.5 quad cab shortbed 2500 4x4 that had 285's on it when I bought it. There seems to be plenty of clearance for 315's for temporary onroad use sitting as it is. I plan on a T-Rex setup in a month or two...

So my question is: can I get away with 315's on a stock suspension for awhile for onroad use only?

Thanks!

Chris

I am wondering the Same thing. I wont be offroading with my truck, but for the summer I want to put Toyo Open Country A/Ts on in a 315 Size. I am wondering If I could get away with it with just a leveling kit for on road use.

315's will fit. Mine do rub on the control arms on a tight turn. Also I wouldnt do much if any off road driving. I have a 2 inch spacer to give a little extra clearence. I think everyone should go with 315's, the curise down the road so nicely.

I have 305/70's on Mickeey Thompson 16X8 rims, they get very close to my running boards when I turn. I don't think 315's would fit in MY application. I have a stock suspension with running boards and the aforementioned rims.

4.5" not really enough, but they work for me.

Any pictures, McMopar? I'd like to see that size tire - most posts I've seen are 315 pic posts...

When you hit the reply button and the reply screen comes up, look at the box beneath the main "Your Reply" box. It has a 'browse' button next to it. You browse through your computer's files until you find your picture file, and then click on it, and it should put it right in your reply.

I can get more over the weekend if you would like, I thought I had more pics at work. I don't know what the deal is, it made me resize the picture three times, now it looks like hell. I will try again monday, sorry.

Check my gallery. There is one pic of 315's and a 2" leveling kit. The leveling kit was for looks only. Only had a slight rub without it.
