Red face Choosing an exhaust system

Hi all, I thought I had made up my mind on an MBRP 4" Stainless Steel system. But a local diesel shop has showed me a 5" Heartthrob exhaust system that is about $100 cheaper. The owner has this 5" system on his truck and let me listen to it, it sounds great. Has anyone heard of heartthrob? or does anyone have a heartthrob system? or should I stick with MBRP or look in another direction. Please help.

No offense to the exhaust audio experts but come on, it is an exhaust system. If you found one locally that is cheaper and you like it, and it is large enough, I'd say go for it. Brand name will pass exhaust through it just like any other steel pipe will.

heartthrob is the same company which makes jegs/summit exhausts. i have a jegs/heartthrob 5" on my truck and i love it. it sounds good with my 6" tip. it seams to be getting louder as the packing in the muffler burns out.

have you looked at silverline exhaust? Ive considered this brand 4" mandrel bent exhaust myself, once i save enough money Ill go with it I think. Are all of the exhausts you've looked at mandrel bent? It might be cheaper for a 5" but you might be getting crush bent pipes vs mandrel bends.

I have this exhaust, I love the sounds of it, it was easy to install, and looks nice on the truck.
