Re:CB radio/Scanner mounts

yeah but if I'm going to crank out that kinda power I'll just put an amp on it. But for the price you CAN NOT beat it. Plus there is a LOT you can do with the board in that DX959 also, even though it's a little more diffucult because they had to meet FCC regulations. Some are saying they can swing it up to about 60watts. Not bad for something so new.

Andrew

This is the one I was talking about.

DX 48T
New features include:

A High Performance output circuit that uses two Toshiba 2SC2290 power transistors to generate 50 watts for AM and FM operation (No SSB operation) note: After the Professional Alignment, this radio will have an output of 250 watts PEP on AM and FM.

Re:CB radio/Scanner mounts

yeah that's the one I'm talking about, I don't watt(phunny ) that much from the radio, you'll never be able to add a 500-600 more watts when it's cranking out that much allready.

If I were into the compitions for these these, I would a DX93T. Any radio that has self cooling fins, and dual fans has got to be the bomb . There are people claiming to literaly get all the way accross the US with no additional amp.
