CB antenna mounting...

I tried to search CB antenna and come up with nothing.

Looking for antenna and mounting suggestions.

I'm running a soft tonneau, so bed rail mounting is out.

Thanks

Doug

This is my Firestik Antenna mount with a Wilson Fiberglass antenna.
Of course the roof is the optimium location for sending/recieving, but this is solid, and doesn't require drilling a hole.

Firestik hood mount, two of them.

For some reason, the bolt Shovelhead used on his was to far back on mine for the mount to fit,
so I opted for the next set forward.

I have twin antennas mounted in the same location as shovelhead. Mine are red white & blue like phox_Mulder, sorry Phox I saw yours & had to have a pair. My cb is mounted up under the stupid sunglasses holder so I don't have to take my eyes off the road to adjust it.

I like it...how does the coax attach to the antenna? Are you using the Firestik Ring?

Yes.

IMHO, the cleanest attachment.

The mount will accept any connection though,
as long as you have it insulated in the right places.

Firestik.com has a great reading section talking about CB's, antennas, coax, connectors, etc.

I have an Aluminum toolbox on mine so I took a circle saw blade drilled a hole through my toolbox screwed the blade to it and use a magnetic base ant.

cb mounting

nospin4me,
I like the fender mount idea. But, being an older trucker, I went with the standard mount from the truck stop. It mounts on the passenger side mirror. Four bolts hold it secure so the ground is always there. I had a leftover from my last big truck, so the $$ was right.
Just an option.

Does your truck have the metal mirrors or the plastic ones?

NoSpin's are most likely identical to both Shovelheads and mine, plastic.
