Boost seems low HTT64

Hey yall,

As you can see, the truck in my sig with an HTb2 64/14 makes only 40-42 psi boost maximum. That is with the wastegate line plugged - closed wastegate. And yeah the smoke never clears...

It made the same boost with stock injectors, but i gained 5 mph trap speed (ET: ?) after 435's.
The 1/4 mile Trap speed now is 100 mph

Is that enough boost? Seems low to me, but i live at an high elevation over 5000 feet... Or is the charger to big for my mods? maybe... but it smokes so much already, so no idea what to do....

Fuel mods: 215 pump, custom plate, rack travel mod, 4k GSK, 435 injectors
Air flow: mega cannon afe intake, 4" exhaust

My ps64 used to hit 45 and hold there, now it flutters around 47. No smoke once she's spooled and my trap speed is about the same as yours on my personal 1/4 track. So no clue how to help but something doesn't sound right to me Maybe its cuz I'm near sea level.

It seems low. If your still smokin that much you should be able to get more. I finally got to to play a little the other day since it finally stop raining here and is not cold. It was 22* and i was doin some runs in the industrial park. With the comp on 1x5 my truck was leaving a thick haze the whole time from 3rd to 4th and till i quit. This was at about 48psi. On 2x5 it was pretty smokey the whole way. Didnt go any higher traction becomes an issue.

Ben, thats about the same setup i have.... maybe i should have gone with the 71 series also...

I know this high elevation affects all kinda things.... egts, spoolup, smoke, lower boost... etc

What could be wrong with it???

Turbo is not to big for your mods.... Your truck is too high up
I don't know elevation for Ben (no location listed) but I can tell you on my past KSB-1 (S300) I would loose 8-9 psi max boost on trips from here (680 ft) to Colorado (5,500 ft). Went from just over 50 psi to 42 psi.

yeah i guess so.... the drain tube, was a tight fit, but i don't think its rubbing.... last time i played with it, i blew compressed air into the wastegate actuator and it opened fine, and closed after that!
