Boost Gauge question.

I just stripped the brass fitting, the one that goes into the intake manifold, that came with my boost gauge. I doubt that HD or Lowes will have this fitting with the same size hole in the middle. The kit also comes with a hose T. Soooo, can I cut into my AFC hose from the intake? The T is larger than the hose. Should I heat the hose to get it on?

Depends how much bigger it is, wether it will work or not. I goy all my stuff at local hardware store. I just used a compresion fitting and an adapter to get me the threads i had taps for.

I'll bet you a dollar and a half that Home Depot does have that fitting, they carry a whole bunch of otherwise useless stuff. Tractor Supply might have it to if you have those there. I think that T is to splice into the line going from your AFC to your wastegate if you have one, if you have or ever plan to have a boost elbow it wouldn't work there anyway.

I put on the boost elbow this morning as well. I found plenty of 1/8" pipe thread fittings with a barb, but none with a hole size as small as what came with the fitting in the gauge kit. Anyone know what that type of barb fitting is called? I am guessing it is kept small to keep from blowing off hoses?
