Boost gauge buzzes/rattels at higher boost?
Ok, I have searched through old threads and have found lots of mention about boost gauges buzzing but no real fix for it.
Does anyone know what is causing the buzz? Is it the gauge itself...the lines going to it? a resonance or possibly the lines rattling on the a-pillar trim? I haven't dug into mine too much yet but it does buzz when boost comes up rapidly and at boost levels above 25psi. Shurly someone has fixed the buzz and has some insight as to what causes it.
I will likely take the a-pillar back off and try insulating the boost tubing to make sure it is not just vibrating against the plastic trim. Anyone else have any ideas as to what to do?

Some people have said that if you install a snubber (sp?) it will eliminate it. It's essentially an orifice placed inline with the tubing that limits the air flow through the tubing.
I'd take a look at your fuel pressure gauge for the buzz. If you tapped the fuel pressure at the CP3, it will transfer a good amount of noise to the gauge. If you tap the hose to the pump with a t-fitting and a needle valve, or the bottom of the stock filter housing your gauge will be quiet. Also, if you mounted your isolator to the firewall (like I did) you'll get some noise transfer.
A much better location for the isolator is on the battery tray, low and out of the way.
Good luck.
On edit:
I tried to insulate my tubing. It made no difference.

On the Isspro gauges, there is a tiny bleed screw down inside the fitting at the back of the gauge. It winds up working it's way loose. Need a set of those presision screwdrivers for it. I pulled the screw out, a dab of nail polish on the threads, and put it back in. Solved the problem.
