Higher boost

Can any one tell me why after installing a new 4" exaust system my boost went from 18 to 20? I have started bombing my truck as per the recomendations of many DTR members with the gauges first, and have not ever seen the boost over 18 at wot then after phase two, the exhast system it goes to 20 at wot
Not really a problem, I just dont understsand what would change the boost pressure.
Thanks
Ratsun

The larger exhaust = less restriction = quicker & more flow. This in turn gives you faster spool and more boost. Hope that made some sense.
