MBRP w/stock intake
so if i go only with the MBRP exhaust at this point will i see any increase in hp or tq or mpg? want to wait on the air box until the warranty is up. how would the sound be with only the exhaust upgrade? might this void anything on my warranty?
thanks,

I think the main things you'll get are a little cooler EGT under heavy load and a MUCH better sound. You'll also get a rusty exhaust pipe if you get the 409 stainless.

The AFE makes it whistle alot. The turbo whistle sounds nice, makes it sound more like a big truck. If you have ever been by a big rig on the road and heard his turbo whistle when he is in a pull, that's what you get. I had it but got tired of it and took it off. It does sound cool though.
dhe9,
The intake and exhaust work better as a pair etc, air in equals air out etc. You will see a small HP gain just from exhaust, approx 15-20 HP, but the best thing is a quicker spooling up turbo and lower EGT's that will help you on MPG!
MBRP is a great choice too!

The Airaid CAI and MAI is a great system. Fits great and installs in minutes. I did both MBRP and the AIRAID and it's awesome. I think the two need to be done to get the most out of the exhaust. I got about 1.5mpg to boot and I am not light on the pedal and do not hold it at or under 2k rpms.
Don't wait for the warranty these are not serious mods and you should have no probs with you're dealer on these.
