Workhorse intake and MBRP muffler installed w00t!!

I got my AEM Workhorse intake MBRP muffler installed along with the cat test pipe.

Shout out to Lary for helping me with the MBRP hardware. Thank you! Ordered the Workhorse intake from Xtreme Diesel Performance. Now my truck sounds as mean as it looks. The butt dyno feels like faster spool up and quicker acceleration when you get on it. I get some drone when you get on the go pedal but it is fine when cruising. The intake is something else, now THAT sounds like a turbo! LOVE IT. Once the monsoon in Houston clears I will get some pictures up. I also installed a 5 inch "black chrome" silverline top that looks sharp.

sympathy bump

anyway, i was driving down the road to get to the interstate and reset the trip computer and @ 45mph it was telling me i was getting 26mpg! mind you this is an 06 4x4 running 35s (automatic, 3.73). At 70mph on the highway i was pulling down 22 at 70mph @ ~1900rpm. Before the intake and exhaust i was getting 18 on the highway. I know the computer is not perfect to but does this sound like a good approximation?

i once got 23 mpg's doing 70, but i was driving with the wind, and the gust were up to 50mph, other than that i usually get 17, 18. I have a scotty 5, and mbrp replacement muffler, road armor bumpers and stock tires, thats all for now.

I have noticed on my truck that when i hit the reset button, especially when i let off the pedal after doing 70 to 80, the reading jumps real high and then starts descending real quick.

Congrats Vaquero. Sounds real nice, especially the black tip. Does MRBP make a delete pipe?

they sure do and you can get them from good ole' DTR

http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/acopexco206e.html. the muffler might as well be a delete pipe and you can see right through the thing, just has little baffles cut into the ID of the pipe. truthfully it is more straight pipe than anything else.
