Thumbs up Installed Xzillaraider XZT & MBRP Muffler

I would like to thank Larry for the help and the fast shipping on the items i got from the DTR store. thanks

I picked up a Xzillaraider XZT, MBRP High Flow Muffler and Cat Test pipe the XZT took about 20 min but the exhaust took about 4 hrs (by myself). Those dang pipes would not come apart i wound up using a rachet strap and a BFH to get them apart.

But im very please with the power but im not to sure about the exhaust yet its kinda loud.

I have had my xzt on for about 4 weeks and like it pretty well. I also ordered the test pipe at the same time but have been hesitant to put it on because I like the volume of mine pretty well now. But I think I will try it any way this weekend or do you think I will be disappointed?

Glad to hear you got everything in place

I tried to remove my stock exhaust in one piece and ended up getting smart and cutting it in half to make it easier to get out. Maybe you don't have the stereo turned up loud enough if you can hear that system

Don't mean to threadjack here, I just have a quick question.

Are you all experiencing a loud drone w/ the MBRP straight pipe system on the freeway?

Im realy looking for that loud throaty sound of the straight pipe but don't won't to hear that over bearing drone at 70-75mph. I reckon if it is to loud I can always crank up the tunes.

I have the kitty still in place and the MBRP cool duals. I have the drone your talking about, right at 70 to 75. Take it under or over and it's quiet, for some reason right there it's loud. I have a resonator but it will use a bit of cutting (stock pipe) to get it in. The cat does take up a bit of room, so the down pipe will have to be cut. I love the system and it's great, wouldn't change it. ONly reason I want it a bit quieter is when the kids come, they may not like the noise in the back seat while towing.... But time will tell. For one my wife tells me it could be louder

I had a bad drone with my Banks exhaust. I just moved the tip out further and now no drone. This was when I was pulling my GN horse trailer. It was making my ears ring. I was glad to get rid of the drone. Play with the tip.

Talking about the drone, I don't get any drone at all cruising at any speed or regular acceleration. Only drone i get is if i get on it hard but it is adjustable with the peddle...

Any tip on getting the tip to budge? mines been on there for a while and it pretty much "welded" together. tried to beat it off with hammer and chisel, probably will try an air chissel next...

I had the same issue. Needed to move the tip out about 1 to 2 in. and couldn't move it. Had to get out old trusty.. PB Blaster that is. Losened the tip all the way up. Sprayed the PB BLaster ( stinky stuff) on the seam and tapped gently with a rubber hammer. Let it sit a few minutes. Continued process again. Grabbed hold of the tip with my hands pulling and twisting and it moved. It was like. YES!!!! If that dosen't work heat up the tip where the clamp is. Mine was on for about 4 months before I figured out what was going on. (Searched the DTR board for Drone)
