Xzillaraider 2 XZT (60hp) & Rokk timing sensor

Well I picked-up a used Rokk timing sensor and put it in along with the Xzillaraider 2 XZT (60hp) set on the max mileage download. My first tank of fuel, on and off highway, (no towing), hand calculated, 18.8 mpg, not bad, hope it keeps up there.

Can too much timing be a bad thing? Will it damage my engine? It doesn't sound any different, no rattle at all.

Too much can be a bad thing, especially during high boost conditions. But you're nowhere near that.

Our trucks come from the factory with retarded timing for emission reasons, mainly to reduce NOx. So any gains in timing is a plus for efficiency, power and EGT reduction. The Rokktech is only 2 degrees which isn't very much, compared to what the TST or the SMARTY can do.

sorry to bring this back up, but I have the MMM3 and wanted to install the city tune. I have a ROKK tech sensor and wanted to know if the city tune would be ok to install. Quad said there would be increased noise with the city tune. I am assuming the added noise id timing? So would the two together be too much?

Al arre you running the city tune with the ROKK tech?

thx
