Boost Gauge ?

I just got my boost hooked up and it seems to work great. But my question is, when i turn my E-brake on the gauge it makes a rattling noise. I think it is just the needle spring rattling, but is it normal or do i have a bad gauge. But like i said it works great when i get on it. Thanks for any info.

I cant see the guage being noisey, did you wire the lamp in to the park brake fuse or make a completly new connection for the voltage side on the lamp in the gauge?

I wired it to the dash panel fuse. Thats where it called to wire it. But it seems to be the spring mechanism for the gauge needle thats is vibrating when i turn the exhaust brake on.

I see now, as you see i dont have a brake. but i can see maybe like a harmonic pulsation from the brake when it's applied. my stroke kinda had a harmonic type of noise from the brake on it. I adjusted it away with the adjuster on the rod. I actually opened it up a little.

A needle valve almost shut or a gauge snubber installed in the pressure line will eliminate pulsation noise on a fuel pressure gauge, I'm sure it will also work with boost. It might slow down the gauge response to an unacceptable level though.
It will only set you back $5 to experiment, give it a try.

I have both and it does not make any sound/rattle when the E-brake is on.
