Boost Gauge?

If I am putting a mild box on my truck such as and EDGE EZ or something like that. Do i need a boost gauge or just a pyrometer. If i do need a boost gauge what is the reason and what should i be watching for. Thanks for the help guys this is my first diesel, and turbo application, and im still pretty uneducated.

Do you need a boost gauge? No. But it makes it nice to know if you are over boosting your turbo, as well as diagnosing problems when they come along. Get a 0-60psi gauge, or a 0-100psi if twins are in your near future. The 0-35psi gauges will be maxed out on a relatively mild truck.
