boost fooler issues

I think I may have the wrong boost fooler from BD. I have an 02 HO 6spd. When I unplug the map sensor the fooler they sent me just doesn't fit. I've never been a computer or sensor guy but I thought this would be simple. When I look at the MAP sensor where I think I should connect the fooler it's blue. Does the map sensor connection itself come apart??? To me it looks like 3 wires run into a black connection which the black plastic piece connects to a gray piece. The part # is 1055921 on the package. Verified it on their website. Is there something I'm missing here. I hope this is the wrong fooler or else I'll feel really stupid. Anyone have a picture of one that goes on an 02 HO? Thanks in advance

Call them and ask. I know the map sensor connections changed a few years back from a triangle to flat or something like that. You may have just gotten the wrong one by accident.

It has a flat connection, but just doesn't connect. The fooler connection is the same size as where the map sensor connects so no fitting in there. I am wondering if the map sensor connection itself breaks into two halves then the fooler connects to that.

OK guys, I think I'm missing a MAP sensor. From the front to back starting at the fuel filter housing. I have filter housing, next thing is a plug, next is a data link connector, then the IAT sensor. I can't find the MAP sensor to save my life. I would consider myself mechanically inclined but this has threw me for a loop. I am wondering if the MAP sensor is supposed to be in the place of the plug but the factory forgot to install it. I just can't think of anything else. Does anyone have any insight on this??????? Thanks

Are you sure you aren't trying to plug your boost fooler into the IAT sensor??? It's beside the MAP sensor, (IAT is the toward the rear of the engine)

No the IAT sensor is the furthest to the rear sensor. I know it wont hook up to that, but it won't hook up to the data link connector either. I'm stumped!!!!!

The map sensor is the first plug sticking out of the block right above and behind the fuel filter. It's the only one there you can't miss it. My data link cable was underneath the fuel filter. You should just have to unplug the map sensor harness, then plug in the boost fooler to the sensor, then plug the original harness into the fooler. I've never played with the BD fooler but I shouldn't be too far off. Just look at the fuel filter and then look right above it and slightly back and you'll see some wire sticking out of the block. That's the map sensor.

Well, I know why this fooler won't work. I talked to BD power, Pat was very helpful. Bad thing is it's another $30 for an adapter. BD power doesn't make a fooler for 02's. You have to have the adapter with it. The MAP sensor is different on 02's than 01's.
