I would like to here a few comments prior to buying a Boost Fooler. I have a 2007/5.9, I have added a Smarty Jr. and I set it to the tow mode as I only use this truck for towing my 5th wheel (16,000#), I do think that the higher boost you have the lower EGT's is that correct? So if someone could reply to this thread it would be appreciated.

far as I know the Smarty does the boost fooling.

 

I bought the bd boost fooler that plugs inline with the map sencer when my truck only had gauges on it. My boost went from 21psi or so to 30 psi. Not sure about the smarty or my comp if they already do boost fooling but I did not see an increase in boost with the addition of my comp. I also have the bleeder valve on the waste gate that might have some thing to do with it. Hope this helps. What kind of boost are you seeing now?

 

boost fooling doesn't increase boost........you have to do that mechanically by altering the wastegate. boost fooling only refers to tricking the ECM to fuel when its in an overboost situation.
