Boost Elbow 98.5 02

I have a Boost elbow that came with my Edge Chip. Now My question is where does it install on the turbo.? or is this only for the Standard Transmissions? Mine is an auto.
And has anone heard of a Spin wheel for the turbo On a cummins.? the 7.3L have them and they are called a Commpression wheel.

Look at the bottom of your turbo with your intake off. It replaces the copper elbow with the hose coming from it.

Boost elbow wont work on a '02, you'll have to use a turn buckle or a J-Hook

Does the J-Hook make much of a difference.? I do believe that that runs on a spring...? to work the wastegate.? I have a plunger like thing on a rod, if iam correct, does that replace that.? and does Bully Dog the only place that carries them.? and are they hard to install.?

J-hook will help with max boost, It holds the wastegate shut. Pretty easy to install

Looks like the J-hook is spring activated. With enough fuel, how high will it hold the watedgate closed, 30, 40, too high? Just curious as I doubt my VA will get it much past 30 if that...

I have the J-Hook on my 02 auto. I was told it increases max boost from the stock 19-21psi to 26-28psi.

I recently placed a turnbuckle on my truck, pulling 32 pounds of boost (12 pound gain of boost) , and drooped the egt's way down

I'm also running a turnbuckle..........made a huge difference in boost and EGTS.. Stock I couldn't get over 20psi and now I'm at about 34-35psi.........made a difference in performance too!

Their right about the boost elbow on the 02's, it has a hard line instead of the fitting, but don't get rid of the boost elbow that came with the edge box. It can also be use on alot the the aftermarket turbos. I kept mine and used it on my HX 40. With the fuel box turned all the way up, I max out around 38-39 lbs of boost.
