i had the stock hy in my 01 with an edge juice and i was pushing under wot 40lbs of boost. no j hook. just the boost fooling the edge did.

If nothing was changed on the turbo, you're either experiencing boost creep (can't wastegate enough to control boost), or your wastegate wasn't opening up properly.
