Ok guys, need some help with what air filter to run with the heat shield that i just made from the pattern? Are you running foam or paper? next question will this help in the mpg area? I plan on adding an edge ez in the next month or so. thanks for any help on this matter.

I just dynoed my truck saturday and used huge K+N and then a BHAF(NAPA2790)which is a paper filter. The BHAF made 3HP+6FT LBS more then the K+N. As for the mpg I don't know yet.

Paper, and nothing noticable as far as MPG goes.

wow that's cool to know, I also feel a little better running the fleetgaurd or napa filter rather than the K&N, so I'm glad to see that the BHAF is better...

I run a outterwears pre-filter too, it keeps the filter looking brand new and also is water resistant...just some extra saftey there..
