just installed a tst pm3.....question about turbo

I just installed a tst pm3, the instructions say it wont start adding fuel until the turbo hits 2 psi. In normal driving with light peddle....maybe not so normal lol....the pressure doesnt read anything. It starts to go up about half throttle, and maybe 1500 rpm. Btw.....have enjoyed and learned a lot reading through thousands of the past threads.

I haven't had stock injectors for some time...but no boost till 1/2 throttle sounds way off! What setting on PM3?

It was about the same on all settings.....havent went any higher than 7....still stock clutch, and i really dont want to replace it yet. I guess what i wanted to know is... does it normally take a while for the turbo to spool up, once it hits the truck really takes off, but its not instant. I really dont think there is a problem but wasnt sure. BTW thanks for the response

If you are driving gently, to protect clutch, I suppose it's theoretically possible to get to 40-50 mph (empty) without seeing any boost. Remember, most boxes were originally designed for use when towing, ie., heavier throttle.
Try a lower setting, 2 or 3, and give it some gas...boost & fueling should come in right away if your turbo is spooling properly.
Mine, with bigger injectors fuels quickly...I normally drive around town on #7....
I would expect yours to be fueling by time your off the clutch with normal acceleration. Mine is an auto...so can't give you comparison.

I just got back and tried it out, i just have to be a little more agressive with the throttle. I really like the box, hard to tell its there until you get some open area and step into it. Thanks for the info RJ

You must have one lite foot. Mine starts to fuel the second I let the clutch out.
