BFG's New 10 Ply 285/75/R16

Going with some of the new BFG 10 ply 285/75/R16 tires tomorrow.

On my old 1/ ton 92 Chevy Z I got almost 90K plus out of some BFGs with no replacements! Yeah they almost blew up on the road one day after 90K and I was forced to pull over at the next tire shop but hey - I had to go with BFG again.

Tires had 5K miles on my chevy with them when I swapped them over to my Dodge. Dodge now has 55K miles on them and I've had to replace 3 in warranty from separating, etc. This makes me think these 8 plys can't hold the weight of these Dodges or either I got some tires from a bad batch.

I'm hoping the new 10 ply 285's they just came out with will hold up better.

I rotate about every other oil change (10K miles) and I run balancing beads.

Any of yall running these new 10 ply and what do you think about them?

Man I had the BFG Rugged Trail T/A's on my powerstroke when I bought it new, took them off and sold them to my dad for his truck and he got over 80K out of them suckers. They even still had a tad bit of tread left on them.

Those tires REALLY impressed me, wore awesome and drove great. I liked them so much I put a set on my blazer I drive for work.

Interesting.. what tread design are they?
All the BFG A/Ts I have run were 6 plys, I never got to that type of milage out of them but the A/T tread isnt known for high miles

Not sure what ply these tires are, I'll have to check for you, but the tread is more of a street tire that the regular A/T from BFG is!! But they grip awesome in the snow and ice, although never really had them in the mud. I have about 50K on the ones I have on my blazer and they still have LOTS of tread left!!
