Best 24 vavle piston

to make a long story short the results of my modified s4 blew the head gasket at 60 pounds of boost. i pulled the head and uncovered a mess. each cylinder has a scuff on the back wall about a half inch wide. So i began pulling pistons and when i removed them they had kinda a gold tint to them around the bottom rings and halfway down the piston. guess having my egt gauge back to the 2 will hurt engines. My question is their a better piston the just a 01 stock piston. I have heard 370 industial piston and 03 or 05 common junk piston. engine builders let me know i dont know to go to the forged arias as i want to drive this more than 30,000 without a overhall

the 03-06 piston has a lot better bowl design than that of the 98-02 thats what i bought to go in my new short block im building.oh btw all the cummins pistons are forged.

but if you want the best in performance go with arias so you can lower the compression and egts and boost and just have a whole lot more efficient power makin machine.

talked to ross pistons and they said that their pistons as well as arais will only net you 30,000 without a rebuild. the ring land wears and the pistons are useless. looks like that 03 pistons are about the only way to go. anyone got any good pricing on these pistons

I like the 275RV piston. Great design, a high performance piston that Cummins makes!
