BD Lift Pump Kit

Has anyone used this kit as a pusher pump?, its kind of pricey at 265 but I like the pressure sensor switch to keep the pump from running. If I tried to put the kit together does anyone know where I can get a presure sensor switch

the switch is a simple oil pressure switch when there is pressure it closes the circit and starts the pump if the relay has also closed the switch which it should if the stock pump is running, I would think most part stores would have something that will work. If you don't use the switch then you have the odd hard start but no major issues. I have seen the complete kit it is very well put together I think I even saw a kitchen sink

I have one on my truck I idle at 20-25 psi and I can't seem to pull under 14 psi fuel pressure.

key word there rampete is 12 valve not 24 valve. the higher pressure is harder on the ip in the newer engines

These people are using the mechanical 12v lift pump which is operated by the cam on the 24v engines with the VP44 injection pump and I have thought about this swap my self to get rid of the FP problems of more info on this check out the PDR web site

If I wanted to get my own oil pressure switch, does anyone know the size that BD is using?, they show a plug on the engine block by I can't find it in my manual to determine the size

The plug is a allen head screw located right behind the Vp44 toards firewall you just remove and insert pressure switch as for my fuel pressure varying from 20-25 at idle it has not caused me any problems for the last 80k no failures, lift pump or carter 4601hp Kevins you can contact me on the kit I have installed at least a dozen of them.

From 1 of the sites that rebuilds the vp-44 ( cant remember what site thought) They state that to much pressure is not a problem on the IP's. I was thinking of one of the summit 60 PSI 100 GPH pumps myself.
