Question 2wd Lift Kit/ Level Kit

my truck is 2wd with a rear add a leaf, the previous owner had a fifth wheel. The truck was not leveled; i thought there was a 2 inch difference. I bought a 2inch spacer for the front end and now the front end sits up about a 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch higher than the back. I am just trying to level out the suspension. Anyone having the same problems?

I am thinking about getting a 1inch block for the rear and all new shocks. But I won’t it level.

I have a factory 1994 2500 2wd... I put the 2.5" lift spacers from daystar in front, and the rough country 2" add-a-leaves in the rear... but I left in all of the factory leaves plus the new leaf... My front end came up (from stock) about 3" with the 2.5" spacer (dont' ask me how... daystar can explain why this works like this - something about the suspension geometry of the truck and how it's affected - but it still aligns to factory specs... awesome) and the add-a-leaves only gave me 1.75" of lift (even after leaving in the leaf that was to be replaced). My truck now sits exactly level (I put a level on my truck and there may be about 2-3 degress of nose up or down attitude to it, but it depends on where the truck is when I measure... I can't seem to find an actually level place to check it). I am thinking of a 1" block in the rear to get the back end up a scoshe (it' salso only $35 instead of $75 for another set of leaves). I want to put some bushwacker pocket flares on and then run 35"X12.50" all-terrains up front (like BFG's) and and 37"x14.50 mud-grips in the rear (I am looking at super swampers and ground hawgs). If I am going to run a lifted 2wd, then I want everyone to know it's a lifted 2wd that's passing them by in the mudpit... LOL.

ANYWAY... I guess the point was ( I get a little side tracked.. sorry) I have a basically level truck with more front lift than you are running... what brand of spacers did you go with? I have seen the 1.5" and 2" split ring type that they have at the auto parts store and they don't look anywhere near as big as the daystar units. What kind of add-a-leaves are in there? Did they leave all of the factory springs??? If not, you can try adding some more leaves... they make 3 kinds.. short, mid and long ... You'll have to shop around to figure out who carries which. My rough country add-a-leaves were mid length. I think either superlift or skyjacker makes the long leaf (that go on the very top of the spring pack) and a lot of companies make the shorties that go on the bottom between the overload and the spring pack. I'd stay away from the rough country kit unless you're an experienced fabricator... You have to bore and deburr the centerpin holes and then you have to make or order centerpins, because the ones they provide aren't right for this application... they had no reasoning and I didn't want to send them back because I was halfway into installing them already... so I just made it work.

Well, I don't know if any of this helped... but I am in the same boat... trying to get more lift from my 2wd without screwing it up... I think the 2.5" spacers are as big as we can go in the front (but someone mentioned a new kit I hadn't seen yet). As for the back.. you can do up to 3 kinds of add-a-leaves, or a full replacement rear pack and any combination of those with lift blocks... although I'd avoid blocks if you can because they tend to add leverage (ie spring wrap) without any additional tension (the ability to reduce spring wrap). If you go much larger than 4 inches of lift in the rear, I'd start looking for ladder bars to keep the axle wrap to a minimum... Plus, it'll make your truck launch like a drag car when you stomp on it.

OK... that's my 2 cents... never let an engineer talk tech ... we never shut up... If you need any help with this let me know... I am looking to start a 2wd lift "brain trust" of others who are doing what we're doing.

Is it possible to show me either the website I could find these "bushings" or a picture of what I'm exactly looking for? As well as the 2'' add a leaf? It would be less running around. Thanks
*2.5" daystar lift "bushings" up front
*2" add-a-leaves in back
