APPS High Idler
Crobtex,
It can be whatever size I would like. I mean I can scale this up or down to fit the components I select. I think I'm going to place an order for a bunch of parts today, then arrange them to see just how compact I can get this. I would ideally like for it to sit in the ashtray. Maybe with a coiled cord, like an old phone, so that you could hold it in you hand while adjusting it. We'll see where that one goes. Right now, I'm thinking that i should be able to squeeze everything into a 1.5x2x3 enclosure. But, I am using mini 5v relays and the smallest pot i can find.

as soon as you build this i'll be getting one!
Yeah...D-Max's have their plugs for the APPS or TPS or whatever they call them right on the fire wall. AND its a universal type weather tight plug you can get from Jeggs and such....very easy to access.....and sabotage if you know someone with a D-max! (Driver side, big flat plug, just on hook it and they are going every where at idle!!) haha.....not that i have ever done that! PSD's are on the Pedal itself....
Got this puppy working and man it's a fun toy. I can take it up to right about 1800rpm's before it sets a code. Apparently my truck is wired differently than most (go figure) and I had to switch a couple of wires around to make it work. Also noticed that when I had the power hooked up to a switched 12v it didn't turn on but as soon as I put it on a constant hot it clicked right on.

The biggest thing about this method I like is ya don't have to tap any wires it'll hook right up just gotta run it outa the cab, and the fact that its only bout 50$ and bout 5$ more for a few minor things
And I tried it runnin 55 down the road does great, lags back a little more than I like when ya hit a bigger hill but does just fine other than that.
Wonderin if it'd save on fuel on a long trip out west where it was pretty flat, have to give it a shot when I go to the National farm machinery show next month

I was just sittin around one day, seen it layin in the corner. Got to lookin and thought hell I don't smoke unless I'm on fire, punched the cig lighter out...................little bit later I had a fully adjustable idle, and THIS product will work on just about anything that has a diesel engine, or an engine in general lol
Its even one of the good ones that when ya turn it to the left it slowly adj up right down and the button in the center gives ya free movement incase ya need to punch it back in real quick.
